August has brought changeable weather across Dartmoor, but I loved an early morning glimpse of blue sky and ponies….. then clouds and cattle…
Home. Evening Walk along the River Dee to the corner of the Peninsula. Views across Liverpool Bay. Silhouette of Hilbre Islands with the Point of Ayr and Snowdonia Range in the light of the setting sun. In oceanography terms this estuary is a Region of Freshwater Influence……..water, fresh, salt, heat, tide and shelf….

Delighted to have taken part in this record breaking event. #ArtforGood, 1000 artists painting on the coastline Lands End to Sennen, United Kingdom. Organised by artist Anthony Garratt, Newlyn School of Art and the National Trust. Raising profile of coastal erosion and funds for granite path on the edge of Cornwall. Great feeling to be part of a visible #masspainting creative thing!
Home on The Peninsula. Big moody Skies over Hilbre Island, middle eye and little eye. High tides on the River Dee marshes 4 Short eared Owls and 2 Marsh Harriers hunting. Screeches amongst the calls of curlews geese and shanks.
