Art Life & Walking
I am delighted to feature in Venture Magazine this Autumn. Right now is a time for collecting ideas and making the sketchbooks…….. keep looking forward..
In between the showers a wonderful evening walk over the tops, heather and gorse, pink purple and yellows. Haytor , Saddle, Top, Pil and Rippon Tor……
August has brought changeable weather across Dartmoor, but I loved an early morning glimpse of blue sky and ponies….. then clouds and cattle…
Markmaking in lockdown. Looking closely at nature is wonderful. Here are tools I made from Rhode leaves, Bramble roots, Allium head, Magpie feather and a Hazelnut crafted by a Brown Mouse. Tied with coloured cotton. Can you see a person carrying a large fish in his net?
Gales rain and grey skies outside today so it’s a studio day… keep the faith spring will come.
Home. Evening Walk along the River Dee to the corner of the Peninsula. Views across Liverpool Bay. Silhouette of Hilbre Islands with the Point of Ayr and Snowdonia Range in the light of the setting sun. In oceanography terms this estuary is a Region of Freshwater Influence……..water, fresh, salt, heat, tide and shelf….
Fabulous day in the Studio. Sun shining. Colours. 6 Music. Views over our beautiful South Hams countryside.
Delighted to have taken part in this record breaking event. #ArtforGood, 1000 artists painting on the coastline Lands End to Sennen, United Kingdom. Organised by artist Anthony Garratt, Newlyn School of Art and the National Trust. Raising profile of coastal erosion and funds for granite path on the edge of Cornwall. Great feeling to be part of a visible #masspainting creative thing!
Full moon equinox last night. Always reminds me of the ebb and flow of life like the tide. This is Song of the Sea arch at Najizal in Cornwall. A very special place … a swim in clear water.
Delighted to be featured in this weeks Saatchi Art…….getting lots of lovely attention……thanks
