Out again on the Granite Elements Art Walks. The difference in colours in one month. Foxgloves are just finishing, heather and gorse appearing. Yellows of tormentil and bracken turning… Add in the colour of the wild bilberry. A warm breeze and a good 5 minute shower. More research in the bag. Thanks to all who came along. Looking forward to the Autumn berry one!!
Having spent the weekend training FirstAid4Life LINK at Powdermills, Dartmoor, UK, evening walks up Tors seem appropriate. Heavenly…
Its been a Dartmoor Week! Granite Elements has been launched, a Bovey Tracey parishscapes project. The community focus will be The Templer Way granite tramway. Dartmoor granite was quarried and shipped for buildings like the British Museum, Covent Garden and National Gallery.
Looking forward to leading some creative community walks.
Dartmoor Moor Than Meets The Eye
Dartmoor Sunday. Cold rain sleet bog up to your knees and mist. I thought who would know where they are? £20 you get a full day navigation training with Adrian at Moorland Guides. (That’s a link) Dartmoor is wild but its safer if you can read landscape. It’s grid ref 595704.
